Ease in Backbends
Limited Capacity filling up

Level 1/2 - Backbends are very often practiced with an inner need of control which shows in too much effort in the pose. In this workshop we will find out that backbends actually will be more graceful and done with ease if we allow ourselves to trust more into the earth, to settle into what gives foundation and to trust in order to open up. We will work physically to root into our hips more, to really release the thighs and the weight into our foundation and to do this with patience and a lot of awareness.

Introduction to Ayurveda
Limited Capacity seats available

What's your dosha? And what do you do about it? The science of Ayurveda teaches us to observe the qualities of the five elements not only in our bodies, but in every aspect of our life: the seasons, our daily practice, our time in life… In this workshop we will learn to use these qualities to read the patterns in our own unique bodies and identify what it looks like to be in and out of a state of balance. Through this practice the 5 elements become keys to understanding our true nature and how to ride the wave of our own healing process.

Flowing with the Devi Power Through Arm Balances
Limited Capacity seats available

Level 2/3 - Arm balances are a class of poses generally reserved to male students, wrongly implying we need to have strong muscles to hold them. Discovering the inner feminine power within, connecting to that power in the center, we can flow through them with ease and joyfulness, expressing our graceful steadiness in everyday life, through majestic koundinyasanas, ekapadagalavasanas, handstands and pinchamayurasanas. Gentlemen are welcomed too, so they can learn how to express their inner gentleness in strenuous poses.

Interconnection Through the Five Elements (taught in Italian)
Limited Capacity seats available

Level 1/2 - The 5 elements are a manifestation of the Supreme Consciousness (Chiti) and they are present also in our body. Through the asanas we can experience the connection to them at all levels of our being, from the outer world to our physical body and to our subtle body. The Anusara Universal Principles of Alignment will powerfully support this research and help the students to merge into the 5 elements. The class will develop from standing poses to hip-openers and some backbends to reach the apex asana Pincha Mayurasana.

Coming Back Home
Limited Capacity seats available

Level 1/2 - Life often gives us opportunities to feel, to learn, to grow. Sometimes these opportunities come disguised in challenges that take us away from our center, away from home. Making us feel small and fragile. It is then when we need to keep closer to our hearts, and allow ourselves to stay open to life, helping us to stay connected with the inner strength and with the inner light. Through back bends we help our selves to open up, to soften up towards the awareness of our great inner strength so we can bring ourselves back home and shine from inside out. Apex Pose: Pincha Mayurasana

Divine Alignment: Broaden the Bandwidth of Your Personal Shakti
Limited Capacity seats available

Our modern yoga approach does not rely on a guru and the idea of energy transmission from the teacher to the student often gets lost as we emphasize asana and alignment. At the same time, you experience that some teachers transmit the essence of yoga like high speed internet, even if their teaching is technically less skilled. In this workshop, you will discover how increase your bandwidth to the divine and systematically channel shakti, creative live force. You will learn a krama — a series of steps — that you can practice and refine. Your benefit: -Shakti flows through you more freely invigorating you while you teach. -Your students experience a sense of wholeness — purna — and look forward to coming back for more.

Anusara yoga e l'arte dello storytelling / Anusara Theme and the Art of Storytelling (Taught in Italian)
Limited Capacity filling up

Dharmic Movement with the UPA's (Session 1) - Asana
Limited Capacity filling up

Level 1/2 - This asana session will focus on developing healthy “Longevity” related movement skills.  Rather that having a class session focused on an “Apex pose”, experience a class with a theme and apex movement skill focus.  The UPA’s  can be directly related to developing healthier movement patterns or skills as well as asana posture.  Take a fresh look at applying the UPA’s for more joint healthy movement rather than advanced asana practice. Fun, Creative and a  Physically challenging.  This session will be supported with the Dharmic Movement with the UPA’s workshop session.

Dharmic Movement with the UPA's (session 2) - Workshop
Limited Capacity filling up

For this workshop session, an Orthopedic perspective of what is Dharmic for the body will be presented.  When practicing asana, it is easy to practice for circulation, fun or challenging asana development.  When it comes to practicing for the health of the bones and joints, what is healthy may be more complex and in the long term, potentially more important.  When the joints wear out, the movement will deteriorate and eventually stop.   This session will present the loops and spirals as kinematic road-maps for how to use the body for longevity rather than advanced asana development.  There is no need for previous anatomy or bio-mechanics study for this session; Adam will be presenting a small amount of anatomy, bio-mechanics and kinesiology, directly related to the Loops used in Anusara Yoga for the purpose of practicing asana and aging well.   This session will include a small amount of Loop movement skill practice and integration into asana and transition, as well as lecture, demonstration and presentation.

Different Ways of Sequencing
Limited Capacity seats available

Sequencing is one of the most important skills required to teach an Anusara yoga class. Since we don’t have any prescribed sequences, we sequence asanas based on sequencing principles, which are based on the biomechanics of the body and deep knowledge of asana. In this session we will see an overview of the ATT Sequencing Module and we will get to do some practical exercises in how to create efective, safe and transformative sequences using diferent pathways.

Recognize Unity through the Harmony of Diversity
Limited Capacity filling up

Level 1/2 - How can we find unity within diversity? And diversity within unity? The human being is an example of how the Universe can manifest itself, diverse and complex. Nonetheless, order can be found in anything, a truth principle that can be translated into harmony. Searching for it within the Universal Principles of Alignment, we’ll move through an asana sequence focused on Muscular and Organic Energy, the two principles of Energy that regulate humans and Universe alike.
