This group of six sessions gives you a taste of the full 24-hour module in ASHY’s new 300-Hour Advanced Teacher Training, and at the end, students receive credit for 12 hours of this module.
These two days, our focus will be on the anatomy of the spine and the pelvis, applying this to the Universal Principles of Alignment for the lower body, and to forward bends and asymmetrical poses (those with a front and a back leg, including most of the standing poses).
We recommend that students attend all of Wednesday, all of Thursday, or all six sessions, but if you can only attend one, we recommend the morning sessions. Sessions include Powerpoint anatomy presentations, asana practice, and hands-on adjustments working with partners. Also there is a fabulous student handout. To be translated into Italian.

Offering and Receiving is a beautiful cycle that exists in all of yoga, from the Veda’s “swaha” to the Gita’s “offer the fruit of your actions”, to “offer the fruits of your asana practice to something bigger” in Anusara yoga. For those of us who have attended Samavesha 2017, we can contemplate all that we’ve received, all that we’ve offered, what we will continue to offer in our communities, and receive, and enjoy this up-tempo, full spectrum class for all levels of students.
In English - Translated in to Italian. We conclude the Samavesha Festival 2017 with a 90 minute asana session taught by Alessandra di Prampero, and Jayendra Hanley followed by a Community Farewell. We’ll celebrate all that we experienced this week and will enjoy sharing with our communities when we return to our homes. For the last half hour the other asana class will join us to say farewell all together!
